# Can I request a specific tire manufacturing date (DOT date)?
## Specific tire manufacturing dates (DOT dates) cannot be guaranteed, since dates vary based on manufacturer and distributor inventory. A tire's manufacturing date alone does not determine its condition or suitability for use.
Tire manufacturing dates vary based on manufacturer and distributor inventory, so we are unable to guarantee a specific DOT date on any tire order.
**Does an older DOT date mean the tire is worse?**
Not necessarily. A tire's manufacturing date alone does not determine its condition or suitability for use. Tires are shipped new and unused from manufacturer and distributor inventory, and every tire carries the full manufacturer's warranty.
**How do I find the manufacturing date on my tires?**
The manufacturing date is part of the DOT code printed on the tire's sidewall. The last four digits of the DOT code show the week and year the tire was made. For example, a code ending in **2325** means the tire was made in the 23rd week of 2025.
**Have questions about DOT dates?**
If you have questions or concerns about the DOT dates on your tires, our team will be happy to help!
